Stop smoking, Thailand tells tourists

#THAILAND is campaigning for tourists to refrain from smoking in prohibited public areas as part of its Tobacco Control Law.

Ministry of Tourism and Sports is working with tour companies and guides to seek co-operation from tourists to refrain from smoking in prohibited areas, especially at sports complexes and tourist attractions.

Outdoor places where smoking is banned include public parks, zoos, amusement parks, children’s playgrounds, and markets.

The country has banned smoking in almost all indoor public places.
