Cornwall on song

There will be five days and nights of song across the county of Cornwall as choirs of all ages and nationalities gather for the largest festival of its kind in Europe. 

THE internationally renowned operatic tenor John Treleaven will be joining choirs from around the world for the start of the Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival at Truro Cathedral on April 30.

More than 3000 singers in 70 choirs will be taking part in 60 concerts and celebrations in 50 venues from Bude to Penzance and Torpoint to Porthleven.

Choirs from Canada, the US, Russia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, England, Wales, and Scotland will be performing throughout the festival to more than 40,000 people.

The International Gala Concerts at Truro Cathedral and the Hall for Cornwall create a cultural hub for the festival.
