Air Canada to beef up UK links

AIR CANADA is to boost its transatlantic schedules, with up to 88 non-stop services a week to eight major Canadian cities from UK airports scheduled from this summer onwards.

From Heathrow, Air Canada will operate direct flights to Toronto four times a day, daily to MontrĂ©al, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Ottawa, and St. John’s, and three times per week to Edmonton. The airline is also introducing a second service to Calgary operating four times a week, commencing June 2.

Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada’s leisure airline, will operate seasonal non-stop services with up to five flights a week from Edinburgh (June to October) and up to six flights a week from Manchester (June to September) to Toronto.

‘With the current favourable exchange rate, it has never been a better time for UK travellers to fly to Canada,’ says Robert Atkinson at Air Canada.

UK passengers travelling with Air Canada to the US are no longer required to pick up their bags when transiting in Toronto and Montréal. They can also pre-clear US Customs and Immigration.
