LIGURIA – otherwise known as the Italian Riviera – is known for its high quality olive production.
Every November, a three day festival called Olioliva celebrates the region's 'green gold'.
This year’s begins on November 14 in the coastal town of Oneglia.
There are cooking demonstrations and stands from regional producers with oils, olive beauty products, and medicines. Visitors can take seven walking routes – from the coast into the mountains – themed on olives and wine.
