...........rising early for a 'breakfast' meeting a young executive - you know the type; iPad, iPhone, BMW, upwardly-mobile and gleaming teeth etc - rushed into the bathroom for a quick shower and shave and with his mind on other important things gave his hair a quick spray, fluffed it into today's disarranged style and dashed to his car and off........
Now!!.. he whiffed a perfumed smell he sort of recognised but couldn't quite place - coming off his hands he thought, sniffed them and slowly the light came on in his head - Pledge furniture wax!!
The wife, it seems, had been furniture polishing and placed it next to his favourite hairspray and forgotten it; with the result being a Pledged head - nothing to be done but get to the meeting - he gave a very polished performance evidently and was a shining example to all - and is now known as the Karate Kid - wax on, wax off.............Oh!! and now much much more observant.
