Europe’s best small town is …

Ribe, the oldest extant Danish town, has been named Europe's best Big-Time Small Destination in a poll of more than 46,000 people by Globalgrasshopper.com.
Devised to give smaller towns and cities due recognition, the awards were open only to towns of fewer than 100,000 inhabitants. The vote took place across 36 European countries and used social media information as the judging criteria

Arundel and Winchester (England), Conwy (Wales) and Portree (Scotland) were shortlisted but failed to make it into the top ten.
